Laser engraving is a process where the laser beam physically removes the surface of the material to expose a cavity that reveals an image at eye level. The laser creates high heat during the engraving process, which essentially causes the material to vaporize. It’s a quick process, as the material is vaporized with each pulse. This creates a cavity in the surface that is noticeable to the eye and touch.
We engrave most plastics, wood, glass, leather, stainless steel, anodized aluminum, paper, card stock, many types of cloth, and many plated metals.
Custom engraving prices vary. To get an estimate give us a call so we can discuss your project with you.
No our team has a full functioning warehouse space with every tool needed to make your creative ideas come to life. Not only do we have an epilog state of the art laser engraver but we also have a cnc machine.
Our epilog laser can engrave items that are 36" x 24" and our cnc machine can engrave items that are 44" x 44" but can accommodate up to 96" with some minor adjustments to the machine.
Both the CNC router and laser cutter machines perform programmed precision subtractive processes on stock material used in fabricating parts. However, there are differences between CNC cutting and laser cutting. Each application offers its own unique features, benefits, and advantages to manufacturers.
CNC routers are a contact-based cutting process similar in concept to handheld routers, with the obvious advantage of having the versatility and flexibility found in automated CNC cutting.
It is a non-contact, thermal-based process that employs a focused, high-powered laser beam that cuts custom shapes and designs from stock material. There is no custom-designed tooling required, either. Cutting relies on heat to perform precision cuts. Rather than carving, a high-energy beam burns through the material.
